Sheffield City Council are the sponsoring body and an SCC spokesman said: “Its been a really great team effort! The responsiveness of the Adaro support teams during the development, accreditation and deployment of Safetynet+ cannot be faulted; it is largely down to their dedication that we have such a powerful practitioner tool at our disposal”.

March 17th 2010: London Borough of Ealing purchase LAconnect Intelligent Adapter as their chosen adapter solution for the DCSF National ContactPoint programme. The Intelligent Adapter was chosen for overall suitability, ease of deployment and cost efficiency.

February 22nd 2010: Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council purchase LAconnect Intelligent Adapter as their chosen adapter solution for the DCSF National ContactPoint programme. The Intelligent Adapter was chosen for overall suitability, ease of deployment, cost efficiency and also as the product can be easily upgraded to a full 'hub' solution which matches with RMBC's future aspirations.
Susan Gray, Systems and Change Manager, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council said: "Adaro offer an excellent performing adaptor solution in which we have high confidence that it will meet all of our local requirements. It is achievable in both financial and human resource terms. It is a product which is fit for purpose and is useable in a local authority setting. We have high confidence levels in the work that they have undertaken with Sheffield and their expanding adaptor and hub customer base. Our relationship with our suppliers is of high importance to RMBC, particularly in relation to future product development and we are also confident that they have the resource and will to support a shared service. They have proven their ability to meet practitioner needs through their fully integrated solution should we ever decide to go down that route."

February 15th 2010: Sheffield City Council complete UAT on LAconnect 'SafetyNet+' and start the roll out of their local solution which will commence with a comprehensive e-learning training scheme. James Randall, Senior Solutions Architect, Sheffield City Council comments: "Safetynet+ empowers Sheffield to fully exploit the benefits of the National ContactPoint system, the ease with which we can enrich our data with additional case management systems that would never normally contribute to ContactPoint is of significant benefit to front line workers.
There is no doubt in my mind that the capability to alert other colleagues working with a child of changes and updates to involvements in real time contributes to the success of multi-agency collaboration in Sheffield, without Safetynet+ this would not be possible.
The availability of a local best view will allow us to deploy our local index capability in Sheffield to a much wider population than that envisaged to be using ContactPoint but the use of a single interface, a common alerting system and a common practitioner repository means that non-ContactPoint users can fully contribute to the shared services agenda”
